Hair Loss From Scalp Psoriasis

I was wondering what I can do for the hair loss caused by scalp psoriasis.  I have never experienced this before. It started out as what I thought was dandruff 3 months ago.  I went to the dermatologist two weeks ago and he gave me Derma-Smoothe which I put on every night when I went to bed with a shower cap.  I have used it every night for 8 days and it appears the psoriasis is cleared.  The upsetting part is the very thin hair now on top of my head.  Will it grow back?  Is there something I can use to help it along the way?  My hair is shoulder length and I am a 44 year old female.  My hair has also been highlighted (gold blonde) which I don't plan on doing again until the hair hopefully grows back.  I have highlighted my hair for years and I have never had a problem with it.  I think the psoriasis was brought on by stress.  I worried that if it comes back I will lose more hair.

Thank you for any help you can give me.  I am very upset about this.

Linda
