The embarrassment of copious amounts of ear and nasal hair :(

No Self-Respecting man should forget to trim his ear and nasal hair.  (Do women deal with this problem??)

Here are the five most common wrong ways of dealing with ear and nose hair!

- Deny that your ear and nose hair exists

-Forget that you can just have someone else remove it for you.

There's plenty more to read at this link. It should bring a smile to your face (did your nasal hair just tickle you?)

Does less hair mean more beard?

Scientists were curious to find out if men with beards are more susceptible to balding!

Interestingly; one basic difference that bearded men had with all the other people was that their rate of sweat evaporation differed.

Their bearded area did not evaporate so much as their forehead, whereas, in the other groups, rates of sweat evaporation were identical. Scientists were suspicious about that fact, and the decided to keep track of these men for 10 years straight (now that's a geek life).

7 Tips and Ideas to Extend the Lifespan of Your Hair System

Hair loss is one of the most common problems that people are facing today.  Stress, a bad lifestyle, and poor eating habits are all responsible for causing premature hair loss. So, if you have started to lose your hair, then you should first look to keep your stress levels down as well as modifying your diet to incorporate healthier foods.

However, there comes a stage when non-surgical hair systems become the best option for you if your hair loss is significant. Like your own hair, hair systems also need care and attention. Proper care and attention will enable you to wear your hair system for longer so that’s why we have come up with a list of 7 tips and ideas to extend the lifespan of your hair system.

1) Hair system cleaning by brushing/combing

Brushing with the right combs is very important. Comb your hair system with a 100% soft boar bristle brush or with a large comb to avoid tangling and unnecessary tension on the knots. Here are some vital things to remember:

Breaking news: Can hair loss be reversed with Oxy133, a sterol based drug candidate?

A biotech startup company out of Santa Monica, CA is currently having a drug candidate that they think could be a
solution for hair loss and balding. They approached SOS Hairloss because of our connection to hair loss and our efforts to help people with this serious issue.

They are currently running a crowdfunding campaign to get funding for a preliminary experiment for this hair treatment solution.  Their team would greatly appreciate your financial support and if you could spread the word about their crowdfunding campaign.

This is the link:

About the project: Hair loss can affect both men and women, often leaving a negative impact on the affected person’s life. Stem cells associated with hair follicles drive normal hair growth but lie dormant in bald spots. We propose to test topical applications of Oxy133, a drug candidate that can safely increase Hedgehog signaling, in a mouse model of…

Masturbation and hair loss in men

As you continue to age, the body decreases its production of important neuro-chemicals. On the other hand Masturbation limits the endocrine system which controls the release of such hormones.  With excessive masturbation, the body can go through accelerated damage to the tissue cells and organs. Men who keep masturbating excessively will eventually reach an exhausted state in which their bodies produce more inflammatory hormones and proteins, including prostaglandin E2 and DHT. These in turn might be the cause of pain and hair loss.

Systemic Enzymes may increase Hair Growth

Enzymes exist to help make chemical reactions go faster and the body contains around 3,000 enzymes that are involved in more than 7,000 reactions.

They mostly work on circulation and combat inflammation.

Systemic Enzymes play an important role in the function of the body. Indirectly they can assist or inhibit hair growth. Maintaining a proper and balanced diet rich in unprocessed foods is important.

There are two main ways to increase your levels of systemic enzymes: take supplements or change your diet. While the supplements are the easy way out, if you want a more natural approach it is best to simply modify your diet

Excessive swimming and hair loss. Is there a link?

Any pool chemicals or ocean salt poses a threat to your hair health, whether or not you suffer from a hair loss condition. These agents tend to make hair feel dry and brittle, which is easily remedied by reducing your swim sessions and practicing routine deep conditioning hair masks

The water of the swimming pool essentially contains chlorine, which work as an effective anti-bacterial and anti-algae agent, helping the pool water to stay clean and hygienic. The problem is that, no matter how good it is for keeping the pool water hygienic, chlorine takes a negative toll on your hairs. It damages the cuticles of the hair shafts, which triggers hair fall through breakage and in addition to that chlorine can also harm the hair follicles on the scalp which can cause extreme hair loss.
Being a natural product, ocean salt (sea water) should be less damaging to hair than chlorine
Either way, in this article you will find some useful tips on caring for your hair to minimise the damage.
